The Formal Report
Who says that a formal report has to be unreadable?
I recently helped a client through a rather serious problem. In the end it turned out to be far better than it might have been. In relatively short order we had taken care of the problem and we were able to observe system behavior from our vantage point in the “war room.” I provided some mood music—hey, we’re a full-service firm!
In the formal report of the action, I drafted the following note:
Beethoven Symphony #9 in D minor, Op. 125 “Choral” 4. Presto—Allegro Assai fills the war room.
(Yes that's the movement with the “Ode to Joy” bit.) I really love my job.
